La Dulce Baker is a cake boutique located in Brooklyn, NY.
Owner Joanna Rodriguez Neumann started baking at a very young age, encouraged by her mother, who taught Joanna to make traditional cakes and pastries from her home of Uruguay. Joanna has made it her goal to perfect and share these sweets that she grew up with, and she fuses her Hispanic roots with her baking by offering delicious flavors like dulce de leche, and making classic Spanish treats like Alfajores.
However, it wasn’t until Joanna had her own family and moved to Australia that she discovered her love of cake decorating. She attended classes and learned techniques unique to Australian bakers, from the perfect ganache and sharp edges to the signature Australian drip cake.
Though her influences come from around the world, Joanna’s baking is all about family—sharing what her mother taught her with her own daughters, and connecting with the traditions of the places that have shaped each generation.
At La Dulce Baker, Joanna shares those traditions and techniques with her clients, and looks forward to hearing their stories to create the perfect cake or treat for them. Sweets are a great addition to any celebration, and we look forward to creating one for you and your special event.
